The sofas of the Terrae collection are characterised by a striking contrast between a ‘shell’ composed of clear, stark planes and generous, cosy upholstery. Marble slabs arranged at the ends embrace and contain the cushions, enhancing their refined softness. A bent shape in the plan and asymmetrical backrests break the traditional linearity of the volumes and create a dynamic and multiform landscape.

Various compositions are possible, and just as numerous are the refined details, such as the cusp-shaped work framing the stone sides, which is also echoed along the front plinth. Or like the tailored seams that precisely define the shape of the upholstery. A selection of excellent leathers and fabrics combined with original and refined stones complete the collection. Accuracy and precision are pursued even where the eye cannot see: as in the construction of the aluminium frame with specially designed fastenings and turned pivots machined from solid metal, or like the seat’s pocket sprung structure and the appropriately designed rubber sandwich of different densities, in the pursuit of maximum comfort.
