The Delos collection was born out of the idea of creating a family of coffee tables of various shapes and sizes that can be combined with each other. The inspiration came from observing ancient nautical charts, in which a multitude of thin converging lines crossed the seas and lands and served to ease navigators’ measurements. Like nautical maps, in fact, the tops of the collection are criss-crossed by intersecting lines that divide them into sectors, almost as if they were the folding traces on origami sheets, or the geometric patterns of large abstract paintings. These lines are actually the very structure of the coffee tables: sheets of finely worked metal that start from the ground and pierce the marble of the top, to emerge on the surface. This creates clean geometric shapes, punctuated by solids and voids which, when matched together, give rise to increasingly complex figures.

Delos is a refined collection that touches the boundaries of art. It adopts marble and metal as its elected materials, but the tops can also be covered with leather or lacquer on wood, to create infinite combinations of colour and material.
