MARK I – DRAW CUSTOM-MADE GRAVEL BIKE BASED ON CINELLI ZYDECO KING FRAME SET. PHOTOS BY CAMILLA PIZZINI & DRAW STUDIO, 2022

Draw developed and assembled 3 custom bikes, little gems of mechanics and electronics. Adopting the Zydeco King frame designed for Cinelli in 2019 as a base, these bikes were equipped by carefully selecting components whose functionality and aesthetics were consistent with the Studio’s needs and taste. A unique colour palette was developed, inspired by the dimension of travel: Lagoon Blue, Moss Green and Lava Grey: opaque yet reflective shades, calm yet deep, like the colours of natural elements at dusk. The graphic interventions, reduced to a minimum, are tone-on-tone and blend with the base, leaving the shape of the frame to play the dominant role. Even the components chosen, rigorously in matt uni-directional carbon and free of graphic signs, move away from the sporting world to emphasise their shape and the tactile dimension of the material, in pursuit of timeless elegance.
